Hendrik Knopp is a lawyer at Clayston and is counselling clients concerning all questions in regulatory, IP & licensing, market access, and M&A. He is specialised in administrative approval processes: for obtaining a pharmaceutical production and wholesale certificate (GMP & GDP), as well as concerning international import and export of controlled substances under the Controlled Substances Act (“Betäubungsmittelgesetz”). Together with his clients, he is working out creative and efficient solutions for complex issues. In addition to legal expertise, Mr. Knopp has entrepreneurial and political experience and is widely networked. Between 2017 and 2021, Hendrik Knopp, a leader of an international team, won a complex bidding competition for growing medicinal Cannabis in Germany. From this success, he was able to establish the first indoor Cannabis installation in Neumünster/Germany, which delivers today medicinal Cannabis commissioned by the Federal Republic of Germany.
